Reduced Costs

Commercial drones aren’t designed with a specific mission or user in mind. There are inherent performance losses and added operating costs, when using them for off-design conditions.

Custom UAS

This is a niche program that will get you on the fast track to developing your own in-house, unmanned aircraft, and customize drone platforms and services for streamlined solutions.

Core Training

The core training and consulting portion of the program takes six weeks. Each week contains an introductory video, followed by multimedia lessons containing training topics and design tools.

6 Week Training Program

The first three weeks covers basic drone design including structural and fluid dynamics, with computational validation. The fourth week includes fabrication techniques, including how to use composite materials and 3D printing. The fifth and six week concludes with laboratory and flight testing.

Concept to Validation...

Wind tunnel testing is required to validate the aerodynamic performance of a drone in near-real-life flight conditions. It allows engineers to uncover adverse flow behavior that computer simulations may not show. Flow visualization with smoke allows engineers to see what the flow is doing.
